Representatives from the churches of the benefice - Christ Church, Redhill, St Michael’s, Butcombe, Holy Trinity, Burrrington, and All Saints’, Wrington - meeting informally the two candidates for the post of House for Duty Priest at Redhill. The vacancy was caused by the retirement of the Revd Tom Ekin to live in Wrington. The candidates were the Revd Judith Malins and the Revd John Wedgbury, who was accompanied by his wife, Sian. The occasion gave the candidates and members of the congregations concerned, the opportunity to learn something about each other, in advance of the interviews held the following day. These were conducted by the 2 All Saints’ churchwardens, the 2 chapelwardens, and the Archdeacon, the Ven Andy Piggott.
