Dedication of kneeler and bells  The annual benefice Evensong held at St Michael’s, Butcombe, this year included the dedication of a new kneeler by Jean Bettesworth to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. and an augmented set of handbells - some new, some beautifully refurbished. The service was conducted by the Rector, the Revd Nicholas Maddock, assisted by the Revd Tom Ekin and Lay Reader Angela Smythe. Refreshments were served afterwards in the Village Hall.
