The Annual Dickensian Fair will take place on Friday 9 December outside the Plough Inn commencing 6.30pm. Proceedings will commence with illumination of the Christmas Tree lights and live music and entertainment will follow culminating in the patrons of the Plough giving their tuneful(?) rendition of traditional carols. The entertainment will include presentations by local children, music and the annual lively offering by Joyful Spirit Community Choir. Festive stalls with Christmas specialities, children’s activities and a hog roast will also feature. The Plough will be providing mulled wine and cider to keep visitors warm and there will be a grand Christmas raffle. Plenty for everyone then and we hope for the usual enthusiastic support from our local community. A special welcome will await those who take the trouble to dress in Victorian style, particularly children, and there is the added possible incentive of photographs subsequently appearing on the Wrington Village web-site. Do come and join us for a fun evening, break out your top hats and bonnets!
