www.wrington.net Some Guidelines on 'Home stays' The normal expectation is that visitors to Wrington / Villeneuve will book independently into B&Bs/ Chambres d'hote/hotels, which obviously brings business benefits to both communities. However, short 'home-stay' visits are a good means of developing individual contact between residents of the two communities. There are really no standard models, but a short stay of two or three nights would be reasonable. The host would normally provide breakfast and an evening meal, and may or may not wish to offer an accompanied mini-tour of the area. It's advisable for visitors to Wrington to arrange independent transport such as car hire, given the infrequent bus service. Anybody interested in seeking a 'home-stay' in the partner village should contact the Wrington Twinning Association (French visitors) or the Villeneuve Mairie (English visitors) in the first instance with a note giving: - an indication of language proficiency - reasons for visit - professional and/or leisure interests - a note of any dietary requirements, if any - any other relevant personal information e.g. allergies to pets The request will be circulated to people in Villeneuve / Wrington who have expressed an interest in hosting visitors. Once they have received a reply, the Wrington Twinning Association / Villeneuve Mairie will put host and visitors in touch directly to finalise arrangements between themselves. Wrington Twinning Association gives this advice in good faith and cannot accept responsibility for the consequences of adverse outcomes.
