Approved as an accurate record. No matters arising.
3 Chair’s Report (attached)
Thanks to those who organised the year's varied and successful activities. Disappointment that the intended visit to Villeneuve-lès-Béziers
hadn't come off, although David and Sue Simpson did go, and carried the flag for us.
Communication – new booklet about the work of the association, compiled, designed and edited by Nick Walters was made available, prior to
being distributed by the Scouts to 2,000 households. It was intended as a means of raising awareness throughout the village and Redhill,
and Nick was emphatically congratulated on his work by John Adams.
Conversation group – Annabel Scott has been recovering from an operation, but will pick it up again on her return, and meanwhile, any
others are invited to become involved.
4 Finance Report (copy attached) – thanks to Hon Treasurer, Janet Walters. There had been an excess of income over expenditure last year
of £63, when the thrust had been general awareness-raising. In the coming year the committee intended concentrating on helping village
organizations such as the Scouts develop twinning-oriented activities .
5 Election to Committee Anyone interested in involvement in the committee’s work, could be nominated for the one vacant place or they
could be co-opted to gain a sense of how things are working. Judith Kinsman had so far not confirmed willingness to stand again. Janet
Walters and Richard Thorn continued to be prepared to be co-opted.
Nick Walters nominated Frank Finn, whose experience would be helpful and was interested in helping – seconded by David Simpson. This
new member and co-optees were unanimously declared elected en bloc.
David Glynn, Chair of the parish council would be asked formally to confirm John Rawlins as parish council rep on the committee.
6 Other Business - None.
