Photographs and report kindly supplied by Peter Maitland Some 60 people gathered in Broad Street to take part in a Support Walk, or March, to Pudding Pie Lane, Langford. The walk was organised by the Save Our Surgeries (SOS) campaign group, to demonstrate support for keeping open the surgeries in Wrington and in Churchill. The walkers were joined by the Lib Dem parliamentary candidate, and sent off by the Chairwoman of Wrington Parish Council. Also attending were photographers/reporters from the Weston Mercury, Bristol Evening Post and Cheddar Gazette. The SOS Chairman, Peter Maitland, was interviewed on Radio Bristol earlier the same day. The route of the walk went from Wrington, down Half Yard to a refreshment stop at Blackmoor; then on through Lower Langford to Pudding Pie Lane. At the site of the proposed new supersurgery, the walkers gave the “thumbs down." Click thumbnail to enlarge
