To mark the retirement of Dr Charles Tricks from the Wrington Vale Medical Practice, a number of his
patients, on the initiative of John & Mary Pockett, arranged a tea party at the Churchill Methodist
church hall to give everyone opportunity to express their gratitude and wish him well. Charles was
accompanied by his wife, Julie, and they both began greeting patients as soon as they arrived.
Andrew Densham had been asked to make the presentation of the various gifts bought from patients’
donations. The gifts reflected Charles’ three primary leisure passions - fishing, gardening, and sailing.
