Caroline Kington, to the delight of Wrington Twinning Association, accepted an invitation to come to the
Sports & Social Club to talk about her late husband Miles’ invention of the now classic Franglais system
of making English sound sort of French - to English, if not French, ears. Four members of Wrington
Drama Club kindly agreed to vocalise what had been written as short pieces for newspapers and the
humorous Punch magazine of blessed memory.
The resulting presentation provided everyone with a delightful evening - and the Twinning Association
