Tutored wine-tasting evening
The Fair Week Wine tasting in Wringbrook House barn was curated by Mimi Avery, of the eponymous firm of
wine importers. In a refreshing, down-to-earth manner she guided the packed hall of would-be oenophiles
through the intricacies of tasting and evaluating eight magnificent varietals: four whites, four reds, four of them
Old World, four New.
Mimi’s good humour and expertise, and the ministrations of John and Pat Ledbury and their small army of
assistants, ensured the smooth running of a truly delightful and instructive occasion. Santé!
