Local farmer, Henry Collins, celebrating his 100th birthday today, is proud of the fact that he can still sing every verse of To be a farmer’s boy without hesitation, repetition, or deviation. This recording was made in 2009 when he attended the 90th birthday celebration of his late brother, Ken. Henry is the eldest of siblings, all brought up at Court Farm, Wrington. Essie Clark, the youngest, still lives at Court Barn. Their late sisters, Eleanor ‘Cis’ Hair and Barbara Collins, also lived in Wrington. Henry lives in his farmhouse at Congresbury.
