The familiar Garden Trail - this year elevated to the status of Great - duly proved itself worthy of this accolade. By mid-morning,
the somewhat indifferent weather was transformed into something approaching ‘a scorcher’, making the refreshments at
Brookside and Piltdown, even more attractive. For reasons beyond the Editor’s control, this report unfortunately doesn’t include
all the gardens, whose owners are offered an apology. The total net receipts from the Garden Trail was £1,552.90.
